Governo Sangiovese 750ML
Made at the San Leonino winery in Chianti by Andreas Lonardi using Sangiovese grapes, the winemaking for Governo uses the ancient technique that leaves 30% of the grapes to dry naturally for three months after harvest. Then in December, the dried grapes are pressed and added to the rest of the wine before barrel fermentation and ageing for 5 months. The Governo has notes of cassis and cherry fruit as well as aromatic herbs and woody hints, with a mid- palate richness and a savour balsamic finish.
