The 2019 La Vieille Ferme Rouge begins with aromas of cherry, red fruit and a little spice. It’s nice but a little more one-dimensional than the old version. The wine tastes simple and good. So easy to drink, it’s immediately apparent why this is available in a 3L box (which holds the exact same wine as the bottle). It features fresh, juicy and fleshy fruit similar to the nose, good balance and a soft and smooth mouthfeel. Yeah it’s inexpensive but it’s also well-made, widely available and always a reliable buy!
