Made from a 100% rye mashbill and it wears that proudly with a robust and exuberant nose that just screams rye. Wintergreen and orange zest leap from the glass. Underneath the initial burst of spice, vanilla lanolin and butter toffee lingers. On the palate, rye spice leads before giving way to chocolate covered orange, cinnamon candies, vanilla, and black peppercorn. The finish is soft and easy with spice outlasting the sweeter flavors. One of the most impeccably balanced ryes we have tasted.
